As the three reminisce about their childhood, their views on ordinary humans begin to diverge. The next day, the raiding party returns, and Sanhuo confronts the chieftain about the massacre, demanding a ritual to become the new leader. The ritual is interrupted, leading to the tribe splitting into two factions. Sanhuo and his companions receive news that Baiguji is willing to help them. As they pass through the Chechi Kingdom with Baiguji, they find that the land is ruled by the alien race. Initially pleased, they soon discover that ordinary humans are oppressed. When they confront the king, they uncover a sinister conspiracy lurking behind the scenes.
